My brain automatically edits everything I read. I notice grammar, sentence structure, punctuation—even when I don’t want to (like when I’m reading a novel as I relax before bed). I can’t turn my editorial lens off, so I choose to lean in instead: another instance of being cursed by a blessing, that very human greatest-strength-as-greatest-weakness dichotomy.
Why not let me apply my eagle eye to your manuscript: memoir, poetry collection, novel, essay, poem, or story? No document is too small or too large for me to consider.
I offer comprehensive editing services, including developmental, structural, and copyediting. I can also read with an ear for balanced language around certain sensitive topics, like addiction/alcoholism, neurodivergence, and rural or specifically Appalachian tone.
In addition to my MFA in writing, I’ve almost completed Emerson College‘s professional copyediting certificate program and can provide references from prose writers, poets, and corporate clients. Contact me to discuss options or for a quote.
Some books I’ve helped take flight:

Dream Fisher by Pete Beebe (2024)
Working With Humans by Laura Crandall (2023)
