Each July, Hindman Settlement School in Hindman, Kentucky offers regional writers a unique chance to gather, workshop, and hone craft. I participated in the Appalachian Writers’ Workshop as a poet, under the tutelage of Marianne Worthington and Doug Van Gundy.
